You can contact us by email, phone, post, fax or in person. You can help us if you can give us your reference number when you contact us. Your reference number will be on your award notice we send you.
For enquiries by email, we have designed an interactive application that will help us to deal with your enquiry as quickly and accurately as possible.
This is a two stage process. Firstly you will select the subject of your enquiry from a list and secondly you will complete a simple form giving us the information we require to process your enquiry.

For general queries call 0845 111 1711 between 8.30am and 5.00pm ( 4.30pm on Fridays) or from 8.00am and 6.00pm (4.30pm on Fridays) during the months of early June to mid October. Please note that calls to this number from a UK land line are charged at a local rate, however, calls to this number from a mobile phone may be considerably higher. Please contact your mobile phone provider for more details.
This telephone service allows students to get automated information 24 hours a day, seven days a week by entering your SAAS reference number. You will be able to get information on or request the following:
- a copy of your award notice;
- current progress of an application for fees and living costs;
- current progress of a travel application.
Individual caseworkers will be available from 8.30am to 5.00pm (4.30pm on Fridays) to answer phone enquiries of a more specific or complex nature. The number you should call will depend on where you are studying or the type of course you are doing.

Visit Us
If you want to discuss your case in detail you should make an appointment in advance to make sure that the appropriate member of staff you want or need to see will be available. If you are happy to speak to any member of staff about your case, you do not need to make an appointment.
